Hey, it’s me. Sorry you haven’t heard from me in a while. I’ve been doing things, abandoning others.
I’m working on improving myself, through the Giantess. Having gotten my devotional tattoo, now I must work her will in this world. To that end I’ve researched a couple community kitchens in my city, found a couple places I can bus to and volunteer my time. Donating at a couple other places that help families out with supplies and services.
Some months ago I was interviewed by Kit Caelsto of Epona Author Solutions for their #WriteTalkWednesday podcast topic. That interview is live on YouTube now. Longtime followers will be familiar with most of what I talk about, but everything’s always new to someone.
I’ve talked a long time about breaking into mainstream (formerly “legitimate”) publishing. After some angry conversations with my creative partner, Elska, she finally made me admit various reasons why I talk myself out of success: fear of expectations, how success means that my goals weren’t that high, exposing myself to judgment. I bit the bullet and wrote a story, sent it unsolicited to three beta readers, revised it a couple times based on their feedback. And I hate revision.

I’d also amassed a database of potential markets (journals, magazines, etc.), filtered these by genre and then by whether they accept multiple submissions. Narrowed it down to two titles, formatted my manuscript appropriately, and … pulled the trigger. In a month or two I hope to share a link to a magazine publishing my Size story.
Elska has also recommended a workout regimen and diet plan, and we’ll see how well I move on that. The whole point is to shape me into who I strongly feel I should be, and she can be very motivational.
