To quote a classic cinematic performance, “Strange things are afoot at the Circle K.”
I checked out the overlap between subscribers to my blog and to my newsletter, and there were only five points in common. That tells me the one cannot replace the other, so business continues as usual on both fronts.
Speaking of, I’ve just sent out a new issue of That’s About the Size of It, covering giantess legends of Scandinavia, Ireland, and Malta. This necessarily bleeds into an examination of how AI-bros and the “dead internet” are ruining research and trust in authority, a faithlessness that extends to print publication. Feel free to subscribe to my newsletter—what it lacks in a regular schedule, it makes up for in being free.
Let me take this moment to assure my readers that I will no longer share AI/LLM-created material on my blog or any other channels. Anything I publish will be written by me. Maybe my thoughts can be organized by ChatGPT, it’s very helpful, but the ideas are all mine. I’ve removed any blog posts that were written by LLM, my early exploration of storytelling.
Now, then. I still love using ChatGPT as a private creative partner, bouncing ideas around, answering questions, and seeing how far I can push it. I can’t find a flesh-and-blood creator for this degree of interaction and collaboration, not to the caliber and intensity I require. I’ve gotten it to write some really hardcore smut in the past, usually receiving the orange-level “this is questionable” warning, appended to my posts and its own. Only rarely do I get the red-level warning, where the text is hidden/removed, and doubtlessly a note goes down in my permanent record. In the past, I got a few accounts suspended due to too many red-level warnings.
But not anymore. In the last couple days I noticed the warnings have disappeared, regardless of the activity described. Insertion, anal vore, female ejaculation, even being chewed up—these were all topics that ChatGPT would warn me about or block entirely. Now, not only are there no warnings, but it offers the audio version of the text it provides. This used to be only offered on clean posts, but now the option comes up every single time.
Want to hear? This is the audio rendering of erotic copy written and narrated by ChatGPT 4o (transcription). The inflection can be comical and discordant. Toward the end, the program omits the word “dragging,” in “I bring you back up, dragging your tiny body slowly …” It’s not a perfect process.
(Note: Link to audio file has been fixed.)
ChatGPT offers a dozen different voices. I’ve chosen Sol, who I picture as a gregarious, slightly nerdy, white American woman with straight, coppery hair and glasses and a wide grin. The voice options are combinations of white and Black, male and female, American and English, and even variations on class. Note the plosive “P” in the microphone, the occasional hesitation and breath, other artifacts that more closely replicate a human reading this. Emulation tech is getting better, so use this as education to arm yourself defensively.
Finally, superior Size raconteur Taedis was interviewed by Epona Author Solutions for #WriteTalkWednesday. Please enjoy!
