You know what, cats and kittens? I’ve already announced this on Twitter and Facebook so maybe you’ve already read it—and let’s face it, no one’s reading my entries here—but I’m undertaking a huge endeavor.
Maybe you’ve heard of NaNoWriMo, the novel-writing project that happens each November? Participants take the time and discipline necessary to compose a 50,000-word novel, urging each other on as they get real creative work accomplished. No, it’s not professional quality, but writing is a good habit and at the end they have something to build on or work with.
I too am joining the ranks of NaNoWriMo this month. I have a very long plot idea written out in my GTS-erotica notebook, and I thought that since even my simple and small ideas usually get blown up into unrealistic proportions (like my women), a very long plot outline should satisfy the requirements of a small novel. So I’m doing it! I’m writing this out, and if it turns into something worthwhile, I’ll refine it and release it as a self-published book for sale.
Will anyone buy it? Doubtful, but you can’t win the lottery if you don’t play. And if nothing else, this will be an excellent writing exercise for me. And when I become more popular, this book will be waiting for purchase. Patiently waiting, as I do, in the wings, for greatness to be thrust upon me, enveloping and devouring me with wanton abandon.
