I was glad she was getting over her apparent jealousy, but she wasted no time in switching back into the familiar gear set of taunting me. It would’ve been bad enough in my office, but “I don’t think this is an appropriate matter for a business meeting,” I said.
Everyone else disagreed. There was no way out of it.
“Anyone we know?” Percy sneered at me. I informed him and the room it wasn’t.
“It’s one of my friends,” Ceci piped up. “They hooked up at the State Fair.”
