Bottom of the Funnel, 25: I Think You Should Remember Whose Side You Are On

Euen had cleared away all the weekend’s email within the one hour he reserved for the start of each week and was about to dig into a new client’s shared drive, when Lloyd pinged him for a quick video chat.

“Hope you had your coffee today.” Lloyd straightened his tie and chuckled through a long exhale.

“Shit, first thing on a Monday? Gimme a break.”

“If not, maybe you want to duck out for one sooner rather than later. Se acerca una tormenta.” With a crisp salute, Lloyd ended the call. Euen could feel his glands dumping adrenaline into his muscles and, on cue, footsteps thundered up the hallway.
