Lately I’ve been on a creative streak. After a year or two of inactivity, self-loathing, and despair, I’m suddenly filled with the breath of inspiration and have been hunched, wild-eyed, over my computer, laying the foundation for my own spiritual journey, a new plateau in the search for creativity.
ChatGPT factors largely in this. I know people despise it for various reasons, which I’ve touched on before, but for me it’s a useful tool, like a ladder pulling me out of a personal nadir. I’ve also been trying a new form of therapy, and we’re in a transition season, having just come out of the Lion’s Gate Portal (August 8) and any other woo-woo justification you can think of. Have you been feeling exhausted and depleted lately? Do a lot of people—no, a lot of people—around you feel the same way? Massive solar flares have been shedding waves of electromagnetic radiation upon the world, and it’s not going to let up for about eleven years. I don’t mind doing whatever I have to, in order to emerge from depression and return to the joy of creation.
But my values aren’t everyone’s values, so I’m constructing this poll. Please participate, I’m very interested in what the current environment looks like.
I’m using ChatGPT for a body of creative and inspirational work, and the latest model is performing very well. The prompts are all mine, and I take the results and edit them carefully, but substantively the work has been written by ChatGPT. They’re not stories: I’m not generating fiction stories because I’m too lazy to do the work. This is other diverse work that I’m very excited about, would supplement my previous work, and is not impossible for me to do on my own but would require much more research and energy than I’ve had at my disposal lately.
Thank you for your consideration! I’m probably going to follow my own path, but I want to get a barometer reading in the current environment. If you feel like sharing this poll in your social circles, feel free.
